In my first poster I am using synecdoche by placing an image of an older Hispanic woman alongside a young Hispanic boy. This along with the text, is representative of the middle group of Hispanics ages 20-35. The point is to emphasize the importance of voting by relating it to the Hispanic's value of family and heritage. The use of the acetone transfer method invokes memory and a sense of timelessness. 

The second poster is making use of a pun. In place of the typical ballot box, the pinata serves as the ballot box. The ballot box is hanging from above, thus the voter needs to "reach out" or make an effort to cast their vote. The crafty appearance reflects the form making of pinatas- paper mache and tissue paper. Bright colors are used throughout the Mexican culture, so I attempted to portray that through the color palette in this poster.
