The Silvertone radio was present during a time when people had a greater appreciation for the simple things in life such as coming home in the evening and listening to the radio while reading the evening paper or eating dinner. Today people tend to take advantage of these moments, as rarely as they happen. We have been engulfed in a culture that throws so much at us at one time we can hardly keep up. People are encouraged to consume on a consistent basis, always needing to be satisfied by the latest thing in entertainment, technology, etc. So my question to you is "what will your impulse buy today?"

I like how you have displayed the history of entertainment and/or the different types of entertainment. I think it can be useful to put the radio next to the big screen tv because it shows the viewer that listening the radio can be just as entertaining as watching tv or even going to see a movie at the theater.
While still portraying a positive a message with lighting and image treatment, your postcard now sends a different message. The addition of the NEW wide screen tv and the RECENT ticket stubs gives the whole image a NEW feel. Because the tv and the stubs are NEW, the viewer assumes that the radio is also new. Even though the radio is old looking, a person would think it was made to look like new. Furthermore, the use of the word "today," in the text, also suggests that all three of the items are NEW. Yea, the juxtaposition of the new items to the radio would infesize the oldness of the radio, but because you say "what will you buy today" the spectator assumes that all three of the items are purchasable at the at the same moment in time.
