corie, corie. quite nice stuff. i don't think i saw the details of the blown ink letters, but several had nice results and interesting characteristics.
earlier i suggested scanning in your brushed letterforms and recombining digitally to make words and phrases. i'd still like to see that, but i also like that you're writing with the brush as a rudimentary calligraphic tool, soooo...
now you need to get some particular style put into those forms. look at a range of calligraphy styles and approaches and see how they might inform the way you're making these brushed letterforms. don't try to faithfully recreate some blackletter style or something, but observe how those forms are constructed and allow some of that influence to creep into your blobby script here. i'm thinking of a swash here or a flip of the brush there. stuff like that.
